Our Transition Programs
HTEThe PACT (Pre-Vocational Academic and Community Transition) Program

Our PACT Program services students between the ages of 14 and 18.  In Delaware, transition planning for special needs students begins at age 14.  The PACT program provides students opportunities to develop and enhance employment, independent living and functional academic skills.  Students have opportunities to participate on in-school and community based work crews.

The STEP (Student-Centered Transition Education and Pre-Vocational)Program
Our STEP Program services students between the ages of 18 and 21.  This program emphasizes the development of solid employment and independent living skills.  Focused training on community based and on-campus work crews is provided.

While participating in the STEP program each student's transition plan is narrowed and refined so that a clear path forward is afforded to each student to follow upon his/her graduation.

Students also have opportunities to work in the Indian River Eagle Company, which is an on-site silk screening and embroidery shop fulfilling contracted work for these services.   (If you have an interest in ordering from the Indian River Eagle Company - see the information found below.)
